Position Summary

Our Freight Sales Representative will manage the end-to-end life cycle of developing relationships with new customers and curating freight services to meet the needs of the business. This role will be multi-faceted, working closely with carrier partners to meet customer demands.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage current customers while developing relationships to grow customer base.
• Identify, qualify, and acquire new customers via phone, referrals, trade shows, and networking.
• Create consistent relationships with existing customers that lead to increases in volume and lanes.
• Collaborate with shippers, carriers, and dispatchers to meet customer's needs.
• Create and submit bids in order to win contracted freight with customer base.
• Conduct strategic customer analysis meetings in order to better understand and meet business needs.
• Conduct strategic carrier analysis meetings in order to better understand business and deepen level of partnership.
• Build consistency with carrier partners to increase capacity around shipper's needs.
• Provide exceptional customer support and resolution communication.
• Engage in strategic negotiation to ensure profitable outcomes and sustainable partnerships.
• Consistently provide support and communication throughout the shipping lifecycle.
• Act as main point of contact for shipment tracking, load planning, and issue resolution.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Persistent drive to prospect new business.
• Excel within a collaborative sales environment.
• Ability to overcome objections and have strong closing skills.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to clearly convey the benefits of our service.
• Experience would be great but not a requirement.
