CNC Operator

We are seeking skilled CNC operators for our day shift. In this role, you will be responsible for loading and unloading parts, running programs, checking parts with gauges and tools, performing grinding and surface finishing, changing tools, and making minor offsets and pickups at machine controls.

• Operate machinery and equipment with minimal supervision.
• Utilize mics and gauges to measure and assure conformance and product quality.
• Complete and maintain all records and logs.
• Interrupt machine cycle as needed and restart.
• Calibrate gages to master gages provided.
• Reset dull or damaged cutters.
• Communicate problems to shift supervisor.
• Maintain housekeeping.
• Meet quality and production requirements.
• Provide feedback on processes, work instructions, and quality performance/concerns.
• Perform all miscellaneous duties as assigned.

• Two years of recent CNC operator experience with Mill or Lathe CNC machines.
• Experience utilizing quality tools such as gauges, mics, and calipers.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs in a manufacturing environment producing heavy parts.

• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Understanding of CNC operation, micrometer, and gauge quality inspections.
• Proficiency with hand tools, mill, lathe, and inspection processes.

The facility features dim lighting and a relatively quiet atmosphere. Our machines are modern, and the facility was thoroughly cleaned in January. The parts machined are large, which requires attention to safety. The dress code includes oil-resistant shoes or steel toes, no cutoffs, hats worn forward, and no loose clothing. Lunch includes a 30-minute unpaid break and a 20-minute paid break. The first shift operates from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm, with mandatory overtime on Saturdays and Sundays.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fraser, MI.

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $20.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Fraser,MI.
