Irrigation Technician

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Irrigation Technician to join our dynamic landscape maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining irrigation systems to ensure optimal water distribution for lawns, gardens, and landscaped areas. Your expertise will help promote healthy plant growth, conserve water, and enhance the overall appearance of outdoor spaces. Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair irrigation systems using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment such as excavators when necessary.
• Conduct routine inspections of irrigation components to identify leaks, clogs, or malfunctions and perform timely repairs.
• Adjust sprinkler heads and valves to ensure even coverage and efficient water use across landscaped areas.
• Assist with general landscape maintenance tasks including lawn care, pruning, planting, and soil preparation to support healthy growth.
• Operate construction equipment safely when installing new irrigation lines or making modifications to existing systems.
• Maintain detailed records of work performed, system layouts, repairs, and parts used for accurate reporting and future reference.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed efficiently while adhering to safety standards.

Requirements

• Must have valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Proven mechanical knowledge with experience working on irrigation systems or related landscape equipment.
• Familiarity with landscaping practices such as lawn care, horticulture principles, and general landscape maintenance.
• Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and construction machinery including excavators safely and effectively.
• Prior experience in irrigation installation or repair is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of landscape design principles and horticultural practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in diagnosing system issues.
• Physical stamina to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions; ability to lift heavy equipment when necessary. Pay: $18.00 - $27.00 per hour
