Job Title: Cardiovascular Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Stepdown Duration: 8 weeks Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 1+ year of Stepdown experience License: Michigan license verification is required for nurses Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: Proficiency in Cardiac, EKG comfortability, willingness to float to similar units Description: The Cardiovascular Registered Nurse uses clinical judgment skills to diagnose and treat patient responses to actual or potential health conditions. The RN is a critical member of the unit that cares for a large number of cardiology patients annually. Procedures performed include PTCA, stents, TAVR, MitraClip, and bi-ventricular pacemakers. Approximately 300 open heart surgery patients are discharged from this unit after 18-24 hours post-op. The unit also specializes in the care of patients with congestive heart failure and electrophysiology studies. The research department manages many national clinical trials using this specialty unit. The unit has achieved significant milestones in patient care excellence. The leadership, medical staff, and colleagues demonstrate top performance in care, efficiency, and community value. Contractors are subject to a strict attendance policy that includes termination after three absences or excessive tardiness. Situations such as communicable disease or hospitalization, with supporting evidence, will be reviewed favorably. About Cynet Health
