Founded 25+ years ago and based in Michigan, we are a consulting company specialized in structural, mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineering for both new construction and renovation projects. Our team offers expertise in engineering solutions for commercial and residential buildings. We continue to grow and are looking to add a Senior Electrical Engineer to the mixture. This is an amazing growth opportunity, to lead the Electrical Engineering Department.
Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Senior/Lead Electrical Engineer to oversee the electrical design and engineering aspects of our projects. The ideal candidate will lead a team of engineers and technicians, ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality electrical systems in compliance with industry standards and client specifications. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the electrical engineering design for projects, including lighting, power distribution, and system integration.
- Conduct electrical load analysis and system design to meet project requirements.
- Utilize software tools such as Revit, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam for design and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with LEED standards and sustainability practices in electrical designs.
- Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to provide integrated solutions.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers and technical staff in best practices and project execution.
- Review and approve project designs, specifications, and submittals from vendors.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and client relationships to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on design and analysis.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.
- Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam software.
- Experience with lighting design, power systems, fire alarm systems, and security systems.
- Familiarity with construction processes and project management principles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
