Job Description
Develop and execute CMM inspection programs for tool center point (TCP) measurements in robotic or automated systems.
Perform statistical analyses of measurement data, including Gage R&R and ANOVA, to ensure accuracy and process reliability.
Use Zeiss Calypso software to program CMMs for both mechanical and optical inspections, including rotary table setups.
Conduct Design for Inspection (DFI) reviews of engineering drawings using GD&T best practices.
Provide input during the design phase to improve inspectability and optimize measurement approaches.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot inspection issues and refine measurement strategies.
Document inspection processes, measurement results, and statistical analyses.
Qualifications
Hands-on experience programming and operating CMMs in a precision inspection or manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in Zeiss Calypso software required.
Strong knowledge of GD&T and ability to interpret complex engineering drawings.
Experience using statistical tools such as Minitab for Gage R&R, ANOVA, and other data analyses.
Background in metrology, quality engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related technical field.
Familiarity with MATLAB and LabVIEW is preferred but not required.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a cross-functional technical team.
