1-2 times a week onsite in Detroit, MI

Looking for a hands-on IS Specialist to lead the design, implementation, and advancement of our Enterprise Information Security Data Security practice. This role will serve as a subject matter expert on data security, capable of partnering across technical and business teams to interpret, influence, and strengthen our data security and privacy posture.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field, OR Equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
• Experience :

o 5 years of IT and security work experience with a broad range of exposure to systems analysis, application development, systems administration and 2 years of experience with IT security required.
o In-depth knowledge of security issues, techniques and implications across all existing computer platforms required.
o Experience designing and implementing security solutions.
o A high proficiency level in specific job-related skills is required.
o Information Security certification preferred - Security Certification (i.e., Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)).

Technical Skills:
o Familiarity with endpoint security, network security, or cloud security concepts.
o Basic understanding of operating systems (Windows, Linux) and networking fundamentals.
o Exposure to DSPM technology.
o Basic scripting or automation knowledge (e.g., PowerShell, Python) is a plus.
o Experience with database management systems like Oracle, MySQL, and Microsoft SQL Server.
