Principal Engineer – Hydraulic Pump Systems (Axial Piston, Variable Displacement)
Lead the development, improvement, and technical advancement of hydraulic pump systems, with a focus on axial piston variable displacement technology, supporting aerospace product performance, manufacturing, and lifecycle success.

You will have end-to-end exposure across the full product lifecycle while collaborating with engineering experts to solve challenging problems, improve processes, and advance aerospace technology.
What You Will Do- Develop and improve hydraulic pump products, processes, materials, and engineering methods using advanced engineering principles.
- Provide technical leadership for hydraulic pump systems, with emphasis on axial piston variable displacement technology.
- Evaluate product designs for technical feasibility, cost, manufacturing requirements, performance, and business impact.
- Lead engineering analysis, testing, validation, and troubleshooting activities for hydraulic systems and components.
- Provide expert guidance on hydraulic pump design, manufacturing processes, materials, and system performance.
- Support product development activities from initial concept and prototyping through full-scale production.
- Analyze test data and operational performance to establish product standards and identify improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering, manufacturing, and product teams to resolve complex technical challenges.
- Research and implement new technologies to improve hydraulic system performance, reliability, and cost effectiveness.
- Prepare technical reports, presentations, and recommendations for leadership, customers, and engineering teams.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on hydraulic pump technologies and provide technical mentorship to engineering teams.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives through new engineering methods, tools, and processes.
- Ensure compliance with aerospace standards, company procedures, and technical documentation requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical/Electronics, Systems Engineering, or related technical field. Master’s degree preferred.
- 10+ years of engineering experience in complex technical environments.
- Strong experience with hydraulic pump systems, specifically axial piston variable displacement technology.
- Experience with hydraulic component design, testing, validation, and product development.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles, manufacturing processes, and aerospace industry standards.
- Experience leading technical projects and solving complex engineering challenges.
- Ability to analyze technical data and develop solutions in environments with incomplete information.
- Experience mentoring engineers and providing technical guidance.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts to leadership and customers.
