Key Job Details – MRI Technologist (Travel/Contract)

• Assignment Type: Locum tenens (Travel MRI Technologist contract)
• Location: Battle Creek, MI 49017 (Michigan healthcare jobs)
• Facility Setting: Hospital – Inpatient, Outpatient, Emergency Room (ER), Adult ICU, Teaching & Community Hospital
• Start Date: September 8, 2025
• End Date: December 8, 2025
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: Day shift, 4x10-hour shifts/week (05:00 – 15:30)
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• On-Call: Rotational, shared among 4 MRI technologists (12am–5am, 7 days/week)
• Weekend Requirement: Every third weekend (05:00 – 15:30)
• Scrubs: Navy blue

Estimated weekly pay: $2,500 - $2,560
MRI Technologist Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of MRI technologist experience in a hospital or community hospital setting
• Active Michigan Radiologic Technologist license (required for Michigan MRI jobs)
• Certification: ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT, and BLS (AHA)
• Experience with Philips MRI equipment (GE MRI experience is a plus)
• Proficient in IV starts, PACS, and contrast administration
• Familiarity with EPIC and McKesson documentation systems
• Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions accepted with documentation)
• First-time travel MRI technologists welcome to apply

Primary Responsibilities – MRI Technologist

• Perform routine and advanced MRI imaging procedures: MSK, Neuro, Body, Abdomen, Pelvis, Head/Neck, Chest, Breast, Spine, Diffusion, Perfusion, and more
• Deliver imaging services for inpatient, outpatient, ER, and ICU patients
• Start peripheral IVs and administer contrast media as needed
• Utilize PACS for image management and post-processing (MIP, MRP, Spin Echo, Surface Coils, T-1/T-2 Weighted Images)
• Accurately document procedures using EPIC and McKesson systems
• Participate in on-call rotation and provide scheduled weekend coverage
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure high-quality patient care
