Facilities Manager | Traverse City, MI
Salary Range: $84,000 - $129,000 depending on experience

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Traverse City that are seeking skilled Facilities Managers. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of all manufacturing equipment, machinery, and building infrastructure.
- Ensure strict compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA) within the facility.
- Develop and manage the facilities operating budget, including forecasting, cost control, and capital expenditure planning.
- Plan and execute facility improvement projects, layout modifications, and new equipment installations to support production needs.
- Implement and manage preventative maintenance programs for critical production assets and building systems.
- Coordinate and supervise external contractors and service providers for facility-related projects and services.
- Optimize utility consumption and manage waste disposal programs to enhance operational efficiency and sustainability.
Recommended Qualifications
- Proven experience managing facilities operations within a manufacturing environment.
- Extensive knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, structural) and preventative maintenance strategies.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations (OSHA) and environmental compliance relevant to manufacturing.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, lead maintenance teams, and oversee capital improvement projects.
- Proficiency with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for work order management and asset tracking.
Bonus Qualifications
- Proficiency with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Experience applying Lean manufacturing principles or Six Sigma methodologies.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD or BIM software for facility layout and planning.
- Knowledge of environmental compliance regulations relevant to manufacturing operations.
