Medical Biller

The Medical Biller will be responsible for all functions of insurance billing, patient and insurance posting, patient and insurance telephone calls for each assigned account. This individual will review patient accounts and decide appropriate action needed to collect payment on behalf of our clients from all healthcare providers and or patients.

This position is On-site and requires the selected candidate to have reliable transportation to commute to the job.

Key Responsibilities:

• Posting, billing, and collection of all accounts receivables, ensuring timely cash flow for the client.
• Maintaining and updating patient demographic information related to the process of clean claim submissions.
• Maintaining and ensuring that all billable procedures are correct and accurate prior to claim submission to all payers.
• Identifying and resolving claim errors prior to claim being submitted to payers.
• Working rejections on remittance advices when received and submitting proper documentation and/or adjusted claim.
• Monitoring all billing for timely submission to all payer guidelines and staying informed of changes in billing procedures that impact the filling of claims.
• Monitoring all outstanding accounts receivables and following up with insurance companies in a timely manner.
• Reporting status of accounts receivables to billing manager upon request.

Requirements:

• Experience in Medical billing, revenue cycle management, AR.
• Knowledge of insurance claim submission, payer requirements, and billing software.
• Understanding of payer-specific nuances, including Medicaid, Medicare, and commercial insurance.

• Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Detail-Oriented :

• Exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail to ensure accuracy in billing.
• Ability to set and maintain priorities in a fast-paced environment with multiple demands and interruptions.

Technical skills:

• Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems, billing software, and clearinghouse portals.
