SAP PP/DS Lead Consultant (Manufacturing | Automotive)

Location: Troy, MI 48098 (Onsite preferred; Remote EST/CST considered with occasional travel)

Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced SAP PP/DS Lead Consultant to support a major manufacturing client. This role requires deep expertise in Production Planning & Detailed Scheduling (PP/DS) within SAP S/4HANA, strong communication skills, and the ability to lead end‑to‑end implementations in an onshore/offshore delivery model.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver end‑to‑end SAP PP/DS implementations , from initiation through go‑live.
• Translate business requirements into functional designs and communicate effectively with onshore/offshore teams.
• Implement and optimize Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling processes including:
  • Interactive planning
  • Detailed scheduling
  • Pegging
  • Planning board
  • Constraint‑based planning
  • Model mix planning
  • Multilevel scheduling & sequencing
• Support cross‑functional E2E Supply Chain processes (Procurement, Manufacturing, Logistics, Inventory).
• Ensure planning accuracy using Cross‑Location Planning , Automated Responses , Multi‑Level Constraint Planning , Sub‑Daily Buckets , and Time‑Dependent Safety Stock .
• Present complex technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Collaborate with global teams and maintain high accuracy and attention to detail.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
• 10–15 years of experience in Manufacturing or Automotive industries.
• Strong hands‑on experience with SAP PP/DS (embedded or DSC Edition).
• Experience implementing SAP ePP/DS in discrete manufacturing environments.
• Must have Optimizer experience.
• Experience working in an onshore/offshore delivery model .
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to lead teams and collaborate across multiple levels of an organization.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Automotive manufacturing or Repetitive manufacturing .
• Familiarity with DSC Edition PP/DS (side‑car system integrated via CIF).
• Strong understanding of SAP S/4HANA Advanced Planning.

Work Model

• 100% onsite preferred in Troy, MI.
• Remote candidates in EST or CST considered with occasional travel to Michigan or Mexico (based on project milestones).
