Maksteel USA is looking for to fill a Packaging position in our Wyoming, Michigan location. We are looking for a detail-oriented candidate that is eager to learn and grow in this fast-paced environment. We strive to build strong relationships with our customers by providing high level of service, value-add opportunities, and professionalism in all interactions, allowing us to become a valued member of their supply chain and production teams.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Operate Banding Head for slit coils
- Ensure secure/proper packaging
- Use equipment safely and efficiently
- Forklift operations
- Clean scrap from aisle way
Position Requirements:
- Knowledge of steel banding and shop experience preferred
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- General reading and computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite, ERP, etc.)
- Experience in steel warehousing and with defects common to steel
- Ability to read and use a measuring tape
- Good organizational skills
