Salary Range: $52,000 - $82,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, program, and operate EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining) equipment according to job specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions to determine machining parameters.
• Monitor machine operations, adjust settings, and troubleshoot issues to ensure part quality and production efficiency.
• Perform in-process and final quality inspections using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
• Load, unload, and secure workpieces and electrodes onto EDM machines.
• Conduct routine machine maintenance, cleaning, and electrode management.
• Maintain accurate production records and complete required quality control documentation.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience operating Wire and/or Sinker EDM machines in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to accurately read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Proficiency in using a variety of precision measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers, optical comparators).
• Solid understanding of EDM principles, tooling, and material properties.
• Demonstrated ability to perform in-process quality checks and basic machine troubleshooting.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with other precision machining technologies (e.g., CNC milling, grinding, or wire EDM).
• Proficiency in CAD/CAM software for program review or minor adjustments.
• Demonstrated experience with advanced metrology equipment (e.g., CMM, optical comparator).
• Ability to perform basic preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on EDM machinery.
