POSITION SUMMARY:
The Groundskeeper will be required to perform all job requirements and meet all qualifications as determined by management. This role will perform duties under the general direction of the Facilities Maintenance Manager at the Nestlé Nutrition Fremont site. You will oversee the maintenance of all yards, grounds, and supporting equipment utilized at the Fremont properties and complete other Facilities duties as assigned.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Schedule and maintain all Fremont site office properties for planting, trimming, mowing, fertilizing, and snow removal (both in-house and with contracted services)
- Maintenance and repair of grounds equipment and extensive irrigation systems
- Coordinate the bidding process with contractors on parking lot and landscaping projects
- Assist Office Planning/Maintenance with furniture relocation, carpet installation, and office setups when schedule allows
- Maintain documentation according to Nestlé standards
Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Minimum 3 years of general groundskeeping
- Functional Skills: Detail oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment with minimum supervision, strong communication skills Microsoft office: Excel and Word
- Operating Skills: Results focus, priority setting, timely decision making
- Energy & Drive: Pro-active, action oriented, strong drive for results, passion to win
- Organizational Positioning Skills: Excellent time management skills, organizational skills and multi-tasking skills required
- Personal & Interpersonal Skills: Customer focus, skilled to build and foster effective relationships with people at all levels of the organization: mentor/coach people when necessary
- Technical Skills: Landscaping and maintenance tasks using hand tools, power tools and various landscaping equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and snow removal machinery.
- General maintenance skills
- General Skills: Proficient in the use of Hand Tools. Ability to lift/carry/push/pull objects weighing up to 100 lbs. and climb ladders
