This full-time, on-site position presents an exceptional opportunity to provide high-quality anesthetic care and make a significant impact on patient outcomes in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

In this role, you will be integral to our surgical team, responsible for administering anesthesia during cardiac procedures, monitoring patient vital signs, and ensuring patient safety throughout the surgical experience. Your expertise will contribute to our commitment to excellence in patient care and innovation in anesthetic techniques.

Responsibilities

• Administer anesthesia for a variety of cardiac surgical procedures
• Monitor patients' vital signs and adjust anesthesia levels accordingly
• Collaborate with surgeons and other medical professionals to ensure optimal patient care
• Conduct pre-operative assessments and consultations
• Provide post-anesthesia care and pain management
• Stay current with advancements in anesthesiology and cardiac care
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient safety programs
• Educate patients and their families about anesthesia procedures and care

Requirements

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• Board certification in Anesthesiology
• 3+ years of experience in a clinical anesthesiology setting, with a focus on cardiac procedures
• Strong clinical skills and knowledge of anesthetic techniques
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
• Commitment to patient safety and quality care
• Active medical license in the state of Michigan

Position Details:

• Schedule: 4x 10-hour shifts per week
• 1:5 call rotation
• Annual Volumes: 2,200 cardiothoracic procedures, 30+ LVAD implantations, 50 heart transplants, 50 lung transplants
• Diverse cardiothoracic and vascular caseload
• Care team model
• Will also cover cases independently
• Must be board-certified or board-eligible

Compensation & Benefits:
