iewWe are seeking a skilled Commercial Litigation Attorney to join our growing business litigation team. The ideal candidate will have solid experience handling a wide range of commercial disputes and will be eager to develop their practice while working on meaningful, high-impact cases for sophisticated business clien
ts.
This role offers the opportunity to take on significant responsibility early, work closely with experienced partners, and build a robust litigation practice within a respected f

itiesHandle all phases of commercial litigation, inclu
ding:Breach of contract, business torts, non-compete/trade secret dis
putesPartnership/LLC/shareholder dis
putesDebtor-creditor issues, collections, and enforcement ma
ttersInsurance coverage disputes and bad faith claims (exposure/opportu
nity)Real estate and construction-related litig
ationConduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and memo
randaManage discovery: interrogatories, requests for production, admissions, and discovery confer
encesDepose and defend depositions of parties, fact witnesses, and expert witn
essesAdvocate at hearings, status conferences, mediations, and (as appropriate) bench/trial procee
dingsCounsel clients on litigation strategy, risk assessment, settlement options, and cost-benefit ana
lysisCollaborate with transactional colleagues on risk mitigation and dispute preve
ntionMaintain meticulous file management, billing records, and matter time

Qualific
ationsReq
uired:
J.D. from an accredited law school and active admission to the State Bar of Michigan (or eligible for adm
ission)2–8 years of litigation experience, preferably in a law firm
settingDemonstrated experience handling commercial/business litigation
mattersStrong writing and analytical skills; ability to craft clear, persuasive legal ar
gumentsExcellent client interpersonal skills and professional j
udgmentAbility to manage multiple matters simultaneously with attention to
detailProficiency with legal research tools (Westlaw/Lexis) and modern litigation support s
oftware

Prior experience in a mid-to-large size firm or reputable boutique litigation
practiceExposure to federal and state court litigation in Michigan (especially Eastern District and state tria
l courts)Experience with arbitration, mediation, and ADR
