Our client, a textile solutions company focused on creating innovative textiles for their clients in the hospitality, healthcare, education and corporate markets, is looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist . The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for processing high volumes of invoices via 3-way match.
The hours are Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
This is a direct-hire opportunity. The salary range is between $47,840.00 - $54,080.00 based on experience.
Accounts Payable Specialist Job Duties:
· Assigns correct account codes to items such as invoices, vouchers, check requests, etc. to ensure proper entry into the financial system.
· Pays vendors while monitoring for discount opportunities; verifying federal id numbers; scheduling and preparing checks; resolving purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies and documentation; insuring credit is received for outstanding debit memos; issuing stop-payments.
· Verifies vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions.
· Handles all vendor correspondence via phone or email.
· Matches the corresponding purchase orders to incoming invoices with all supporting documentation. This includes receipt validation of received inventory to invoices, using 3-way match process.
· Investigates and resolves problems associated with the processing of invoices and purchase orders.
· Prepares batch check runs and wire transfers.
· Assists with monthly status reports, and monthly closings.
· Reconcile various accounts by identifying errors in posting or omissions by applying appropriate accounting standards and procedures.
· Processes remittance information from checks and wire transfers for invoices to be paid.
Accounts Payable Specialist Qualifications:
· High School Diploma Required, Associates degree or higher a plus
· Previous experience processing high volumes of invoices
· Experience with 3-way matching
· Manufacturing or Distribution experience is preferred
Accounts Payable Specialist Skills Needed:
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
· High degree of accuracy, attention to detail and confidentiality
· Strong organizational skills
· Intermediate MS Word & Excel knowledge
