Job Title: Medical Assitant
Duration: 3 Months (Possibilities of Extension)
Location: Farmington, MI US 48334
Pay Rate: $19/hr on W2

Job Summary:

The Medical Assistant supports physicians and registered nurses in the examination and treatment of patients/participants. This role involves performing clinical and clerical tasks to ensure efficient and high-quality patient care within the healthcare setting.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with treatments and procedures as directed by the physician or registered nurse.
• Conduct patient/participant interviews, obtain and record vital signs, and document medical information accurately in charts.
• Prepare and maintain examination and treatment rooms for patient visits.
• Perform routine clerical duties, including answering phones, filing, and maintaining medical records.
• Manage medical supplies—order, stock, and organize inventory as needed.
• Ensure a clean, safe, and orderly work environment.
• Follow all Standard Precautions and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

Skills and Qualifications:

• Required Certification: Current BLS Provider certification.
• Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of relevant clinical or healthcare experience.
• Technical Proficiency: Experience with Epic or similar EMR systems preferred.
• Soft Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking abilities.

Complexity of Work:

• Requires sound critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Must exercise good judgment and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to remain composed and effective in a fast-paced or high-stress environment.
