Job Details

Job Details / Responsibilities:

Lead business development and sales efforts targeting new clients primarily in the DoD and government sectors focused on weather intelligence
Identify, prospect, and generate leads to expand the company's presence in the US defense and public sector markets
Build and nurture partnerships using a consultative selling approach for SaaS/DaaS weather data solutions
Engage with diverse stakeholders including business leaders, software engineers, data scientists, and technical teams
Drive revenue growth through proactive outreach, opportunity qualification, and closing deals in a partnership-oriented model
Stay current on industry trends, weather technologies, and client needs to effectively communicate value propositions
Collaborate cross-functionally to tailor solutions and support engagements with government and defense organizations

Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years of proven sales experience, with a track record in B2B sales to public/government organizations in a partnership model
Mandatory background and experience in the weather industry / meteorology sector
Demonstrated success in assertive, proactive lead generation and new business development
Familiarity with consultative selling of SaaS or DaaS solutions (systems/data as a service, not hardware-focused)
Willingness and ability to travel as needed for client engagements
Strong communication skills to interact effectively across technical and executive levels
