CVOR Surgical Tech Job Details

• Location: Dayton, Ohio (45409) – Ohio healthcare jobs
• Setting: Hospital Operating Room (CVOR Team)
• Employment Type: Locum Tenens Surgical Technologist (Travel Contract)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: September 8, 2025
• End Date: December 8, 2025
• Shift: Day shifts, 4x10-hour (07:00 - 19:30)
• Hours per Week: 40
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2200-$2250
• Call: Minimum 1-2 days per week and at least one weekend per month (Fri-Sun)
• Team: CVOR team will float between Miami Valley Hospital and Atrium Medical Center Campus

Surgical Technologist Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist, including open heart experience
• High School diploma or GED required
• Graduation from an accredited surgical technology program, Associate of Arts in Surgical Technology, or 10+ years' experience as a Surgical Technologist
• Current CPR certification (BLS)
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred
• Experience in general, gynecology, vascular, urology, podiatry, orthopedic, and spine procedures
• Experience working in a Level I Trauma Center
• Familiarity with Epic charting system
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)

CVOR Surgical Tech Responsibilities

• Assist in open heart and other surgical procedures across multiple service lines
• Float between Miami Valley Hospital and Atrium Medical Center Campus as needed
• Maintain sterile field and adhere to infection control protocols
• Prepare operating rooms and surgical instruments
• Support surgeons and nursing staff during procedures
• Participate in on-call rotation (1-2 days per week and one weekend per month)
• Document procedures and patient information using Epic charting system
• Complete required orientation modules during onboarding
