• Job Title: CT Technologist (Radiology – Locum Tenens)
• Location: Detroit, MI 48236 (Michigan healthcare jobs)
• Facility Setting: Hospital-based CT Unit
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: August 25, 2025
• End Date: November 22, 2025
• Shift: 3:00pm – 3:30am, Monday through Thursday (12-hour night shifts)
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2,250 - $2,310

CT Technologist Qualifications

• 1-2 years of recent CT technologist or radiology technologist experience required
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Active ARRT (CT) certification or registry-eligible (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
• BLS certification (Basic Life Support) required
• Strong communication, teamwork, and customer service skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced hospital environment and adapt to new clinical experiences

Key Responsibilities

• Perform computerized tomography (CT) scans and general diagnostic radiology exams as needed
• Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures, explaining exam steps and ensuring comfort
• Review clinical data, obtain additional patient history, and verify exam orders
• Operate and maintain CT equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images
• Administer intravenous contrast media and monitor patients for adverse reactions
• Assist radiologists with complex sterile diagnostic procedures, including biopsies
• Follow radiation safety protocols and ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) principles
• Document procedures accurately in medical and radiology information systems (PACS/RIS)
• Demonstrate professionalism, respect, and a positive attitude in all patient and team interactions
