Mechanical Builder (Machines, Conveyors) – 40% Travel

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Builder to support the machine assembly , installation , and maintenance of industrial machinery and conveyor systems within a dynamic manufacturing environment. This role requires hands-on expertise in mechanical assembly , blueprint reading , and field installation , along with the flexibility to travel up to 50% for on-site system integration and build projects.

The ideal candidate will bring advanced technical proficiency in machine building , equipment installation , and mechanical troubleshooting , ensuring all systems meet precise engineering drawings , technical schematics , and strict production timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform mechanical assembly of custom industrial machinery and conveyor systems using detailed engineering drawings and technical schematics
• Execute equipment installation , alignment, and system setup both in-house and at customer sites
• Conduct mechanical troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve performance and functionality issues
• Utilize hand tools , power tools , and precision measurement instruments to ensure accurate builds
• Collaborate with engineering teams , project managers , and field service technicians to deliver projects efficiently
• Support system commissioning , testing, and start-up operations
• Maintain compliance with OSHA compliance standards and workplace safety regulations
• Travel up to 50% for field installation , maintenance, and customer support projects

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in machine assembly , mechanical fabrication , or industrial equipment building
• Strong ability in blueprint reading , interpreting CAD drawings , and understanding mechanical schematics
• Experience with conveyor systems , automation equipment , or material handling systems
• Proficiency with hand tools , power tools , and mechanical systems
• Working knowledge of hydraulics , pneumatics , and electromechanical systems preferred
• Ability to perform field service technician duties and adapt to varying job site conditions
• Strong problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 50%
