Job Title: Software Verification Engineer - White Box Testing

Job Description

We are seeking talented White Box Test Engineers to support the development of a next-generation networking device for the aerospace industry. This role focuses on verification testing, ensuring traceability to requirements, and delivering high-quality solutions in a Linux-based environment.

Work Environment

This position is onsite in Grand Rapids, MI. Up to $900 in per diem is available for any eligible candidates.

Responsibilities

• Conduct white box testing for advanced networking systems.
• Develop, optimize, and execute test cases for next-generation networking devices.
• Interrogate log files and script test automation to validate system functionality.
• Ensure traceability of tests to requirements and maintain compliance with verification standards.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to analyze and interpret system behavior.
• Work within Docker containers in a Linux environment for test execution.
• Utilize GitLab for version control and CI/CD workflows.

Essential Skills

• Python
• Software testing
• Active DOD Secret clearance

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Basic understanding of the OSI model and ability to configure IPv4 and subnets.
• Strong experience in verification testing and requirement traceability.
• Scripting experience (Python preferred), ability to read and interpret Spark ADA code (writing not required).
• Exposure to Linux environments and Docker containers.
• Knowledge of GitLab for source control and CI/CD.
• Experience with Cameo for documentation (nice to have, not required).
• Prior experience in aerospace or defense projects.
• Familiarity with networking device development and testing

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Grand Rapids, MI.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $67.31 - $86.54/hr.
