The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement purchasing strategies, policies, and procedures.
• Source, evaluate, and manage relationships with key suppliers and vendors.
• Negotiate favorable terms, pricing, and contracts for raw materials, components, and services.
• Monitor and manage inventory levels to optimize stock and support production schedules.
• Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives and efficiency improvements in the procurement process.
• Ensure the timely acquisition of materials to prevent production delays.
• Mitigate supply chain risks and ensure continuity of supply for critical items.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the purchasing team.

Recommended Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive purchasing or supply chain management experience, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Proven expertise in vendor negotiation, contract management, and strategic sourcing.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for procurement and inventory management.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality standards, and lean principles.

Bonus Qualifications

• Advanced proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for supply chain optimization.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
• Experience with international sourcing and global supply chain management.
• Proficiency in data analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) for spend analysis and forecasting.
