Job Title: Medical Assistant
Location: Clinton Township MI 48035
Pay: $17.00- $19.00 per hour
Scheduled Pay: Bi-Weekly
Hours: 40 hours - Monday, Tuesday, Thursday Friday 8 am - 5 pm; Wednesday 10 am - 6 pm

Medical Assistant Duties
- Taking medical histories
- Explaining treatment procedures to patients
- Preparing patients for examinations
- Assisting the physician during examinations
- Collecting and preparing laboratory specimens
- Performing basic laboratory tests
- Preparing and administering medications, including by intramuscular, intradermal, and subcutaneous injections—including vaccinations/immunizations, as directed by a physician or other licensed provider
- Transmitting prescription refills as directed
- Taking electrocardiograms
- Wound care and changing dressings
- Using computer electronic medical records
- Answering telephones
- Welcoming patients
- Updating and filing patient medical records
- Scheduling appointments
- Arranging for hospital admissions and laboratory services
Family Medicine Medical Assistant Requirements
- High School Diploma
- Graduated from a Medical Assistant Program and completed an externship as a medical assistant
- Certified or Registered Medical Assistant
- Minimum 1 year working as a Medical Assistant required
- Family or Internal Medicine experience required
