The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle recruitment for production, technical, and administrative roles, focusing on timely fulfillment of staffing needs.
• Provide guidance and support on employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievance procedures.
• Administer HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws relevant to manufacturing operations (e.g., OSHA).
• Support performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, and development plans for all plant personnel.
• Coordinate and facilitate employee training programs, including safety, compliance, and skills development.
• Maintain accurate HR records and HRIS data, ensuring data integrity for payroll, benefits, and compliance reporting.
• Oversee the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition and integration into the manufacturing facility.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience as an HR Generalist, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Solid understanding of HR best practices, employment law, and OSHA regulations pertinent to manufacturing operations.
• Experience managing full-cycle recruitment for diverse roles common in manufacturing (e.g., production, skilled trades).
• Demonstrated ability to handle employee relations, conflict resolution, and investigations in a dynamic production setting.
• Proficiency with HRIS and payroll systems, coupled with strong data management and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging effectively with all levels of the workforce.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with safety program development and compliance in a manufacturing setting.
• Understanding of lean manufacturing principles and their HR implications.
• Proficiency in Spanish or other languages commonly spoken by the manufacturing workforce.
• Experience working in a unionized environment or with labor relations.
