Engineering Administrative Assistant
CTG's long-standing Fortune 500 client of over 15 years has a W2 contract assignment for an Engineering Administrative Assistant.

Candidates must be able to commute and work onsite in Canton, NY
Pay Rate: Based on experience
Work Hours: M-F 8am-5pm
DOD/ITAR Compliant Required: Candidates must be compliant with DOD/ITAR requirements and be US citizens or nationals.
Overview
Provide high-impact administrative and operational support to a plant engineering team. This role focuses on project tracking, financial reporting support, documentation control, meeting coordination, and cross-functional communication in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities

Track and maintain capital and expense project spend; support budget coordination with Finance

Prepare and distribute monthly SAP-based reports (spend, labor, project status)

Maintain engineering and operational metrics and dashboards

Coordinate purchasing requests, receipts, contractor documentation, and parts tracking

Plan and manage recurring engineering and plant meetings; prepare agendas, consolidate materials, capture notes, and track action items

Manage calendars, conference rooms, vendor visits, and recurring meeting schedules

Coordinate onboarding for employees, contractors, and interns (access, systems, materials)

Route and track IT, facilities, and system access requests

Coordinate training sessions, travel, and external learning logistics

Maintain SharePoint/Teams sites, shared inboxes, and document version control

Maintain SOPs, templates, and controlled documents; support audit readiness

Track deadlines for project documentation and follow up with owners

Draft and distribute routine team communications

Perform administrative coordination to reduce non-technical workload for engineers
Required Qualifications
-
High School Diploma or GED
-
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Experience managing calendars, meetings, and multi-stakeholder coordination

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through on open items

Professional written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Experience
-
2+ years of Administrative Assistant experience, preferably supporting engineering, manufacturing, or technical teams

Experience with SAP, SharePoint, Teams, or similar enterprise systems
-
Experience supporting project tracking, reporting, or budget coordination
