We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Youth Support Specialist | Direct Support Professiona l to join our team. In this role, you will provide 1:1 support to children, teens, and young adults in home and community settings.

Positions are available throughout Wayne County and the greater Detroit Metropolitan Area, including Westland, Ecorse, Redford, Harper Woods, Grosse Pointe, Trenton, Livonia, and surrounding communities. This is an in-person position serving individuals in home and community environments.

Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 direct support and supervision to children, teens, and young adults with developmental and/or behavioral challenges
• Assist with daily living routines and skill-building activities
• Encourage independence and support age-appropriate decision-making
• Promote positive social interaction and community inclusion
• Monitor safety and teach safety awareness strategies
• Support the development of coping and self-regulation skills

​ Qualifications:

• Compassionate, reliable, and professional demeanor
• Ability to build rapport with clients and families
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• At least 18 years of age and authorized to work in the United States
• High school diploma or GED (required)
• Reliable transportation (required)
• Valid driver’s license and active automobile insurance (required)
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check
• Experience providing personal care or behavioral support (preferred, not required)

Schedule

• Flexible scheduling options available
