Production Operator

We are looking for p**roduction operators in Port Huron, MI. looking for full-time, long-term employment opportunity. **

Pay rate: Starting at $16.50/hr

Shift Times:

• 2nd shift: 3:00pm-11:00pm (Monday-Friday)
• 3rd shift: 11:00pm-7:00am (Sunday-Thursday)

Position Summary The Production Operator is responsible for operating presses and other manufacturing equipment to produce high-quality automotive components, including acoustical and related products. This role plays a key part in meeting customer quality, safety, and delivery standards while working collaboratively as part of a team-focused manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Start production promptly at the scheduled beginning of each shift.
• Safely operate presses and other production machinery in accordance with standard operating procedures.
• Perform pre-operation safety checks to ensure all equipment, guards, and emergency stop devices are functioning properly.
• Complete required production documentation, including operator checklists, production sheets, and hourly reports as needed.
• Manufacture products that meet customer specifications for quality, quantity, packaging, and labeling.
• Monitor product quality throughout the production process and report any defects or equipment concerns.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with housekeeping and plant standards.
• Follow APPS, Lean Manufacturing principles, and all company policies and procedures.
• Support team objectives by accepting additional tasks and assignments as needed.
• Adhere to all safety, quality, and attendance standards.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal work instructions.
• Demonstrated reliability with a strong attendance and dependability record.
• Willingness and ability to work overtime, including weekends, as required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, including overhead lifting when necessary.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
• Strong teamwork skills and a positive, safety-focused attitude.

You should be proficient in:

• Machine Building/Assembling
• Warehouse Experience
• Material Handler Experience
• Machine Setups for Production Runs
• High School / GED
• Basic Computer Skills
