Support Services Coordinator (Hospitality)

Miller Johnson, one of Michigan's largest full-service law firms, is seeking a Support Services Coordinator for our downtown Grand Rapids office. The primary emphasis of this role is on hospitality, with a particular focus on conference room setup and providing backup support for the receptionist
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with team members to efficiently fulfill all Support Services responsibilities, creating a harmonious and productive office atmosphere.
- Ensure that conference rooms are set up in a timely and accurate manner, aligning with the specific needs and preferences of attorneys and clients. This includes configuring seating arrangements and other meeting requirements.
- Effectively serve as a backup for the receptionist during their breaks, lunches, vacations, or other absences. Greet visitors, answer phone calls, and provide essential front-desk support while maintaining a welcoming and professional demeanor.
- Assist in the maintenance and stocking of galleys and supplies to ensure that staff and visitors have access to refreshments and necessary office materials.
- Provide coverage for various Support Services functions as needed, ensuring the seamless operation of office services.
- All other duties as assigned.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional relevant training or certifications may be a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with attorneys, clients, and colleagues in a professional and welcoming manner.
- Proficiency in conference room equipment setup and usage is desirable.
- Familiarity with office equipment and procedures, such as mail handling and copy services.
