We are looking for a hands-on Senior Backend Engineer to build customer-facing product features for our client's Personal Loans vertical. You will work in a fast-paced environment delivering reliable, observable solutions. The role requires deep backend expertise and independent execution after onboarding, with strong collaboration across engineering, product, and quality.

Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.

Rate: $90.00 to $75.00/hr. w2

Responsibilities:

• Build customer-facing product features for the Personal Loans vertical with high quality and observability.

• Develop and maintain backend services with a focus on latency and high performance.

• Enhance load-testing capabilities for model inference and improve recommendation orchestration.

• Deliver features end to end using TypeScript, GraphQL, Node.js, and microservices.

• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and quality engineers in a team-based environment.

• Own technical tasks and follow through independently after onboarding.

• Contribute to scalable services and improve existing systems where needed.

Experience Requirements:

• Strong backend engineering experience with hands-on development.

• Proficiency in TypeScript.

• Experience with GraphQL.

• Experience with Node.js and CI/CD deployment tools.

• Hands-on experience with microservices.

• Experience building scalable services and low-latency, high-performance systems.

• Ability to ramp up quickly and execute technical tasks with minimal supervision.

• Product engineering experience delivering features at scale (preferred).

• Knowledge of Scala (preferred).

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (preferred).
