Emerging Professional - Rotation Program
Job Description
Job Description
Description:
The Healthrise Emerging Professional Rotation Program is a structured, full-time development role designed for early-career professionals seeking hands-on exposure to healthcare operations, consulting, and technology services.
This is not an internship. Participants are full members of the Healthrise team and rotate through multiple service verticals over an extended period, partnering directly with experienced leaders on real client work, operational initiatives, and performance improvement efforts.
The program builds a strong foundation in how Healthrise operates while preparing participants for long-term growth into analyst, consultant, or operational leadership roles.
PROGRAM OVERVIEW
Participants rotate across key Healthrise verticals, which may include:
- Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) Services
- EHR Services
- Consulting Services
- Technology Services
Each rotation pairs the participant with a senior leader or subject matter expert and includes structured shadowing, guided assignments, and tangible deliverables tied to active initiatives and client engagements.
Rotations are designed to provide exposure to:
- Day-to-day operational leadership
- Client interaction and project execution
- Data analysis, reporting, and performance management
- Process improvement and change management
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities vary by rotation, but the Emerging Professional may be expected to:
- Shadow operational and consulting leaders to learn workflows, priorities, and decision-making processes
- Support client engagements and internal initiatives through analysis, documentation, and project coordination
- Assist in developing presentations, reports, dashboards, and client-facing deliverables
- Participate in performance management, operational improvement, and strategy discussions
- Conduct basic data analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives across RCM, EHR, and technology-enabled services
- Build foundational knowledge of revenue cycle workflows including patient access, denials, accounts receivable, and system processes
- Participate in feedback sessions, mentorship check-ins, and learning reviews
SAMPLE AREAS OF EXPOSURE
Depending on rotation assignments, participants may gain experience in:
- Revenue cycle operations and performance improvement
- Patient access, patient financial services, and denials management
- EHR workflows, optimization, and operational support
- Consulting project execution and client relationship management
- Technology-enabled solutions, reporting, and operational tools
- Lean daily management, governance structures, and KPI tracking
- Bachelor’s degree completed or anticipated (Business, Healthcare Administration, Analytics, Information Systems, or related field preferred)
- Strong interest in healthcare operations, consulting, or technology services
- Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); exposure to data or reporting tools is a plus
- Willingness to learn, ask questions, and take on increasing responsibility
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
This role is ideal for someone who:
- Is early in their career and eager to learn how healthcare organizations truly operate
- Enjoys problem-solving and understanding how systems, people, and processes intersect
- Thrives with structure but is comfortable navigating ambiguity
- Seeks long-term growth rather than a short-term program
WHY HEALTHRISE
- Real responsibility from day one — no “coffee-fetching”
- Direct exposure to experienced leaders and real client work
- Structured development with flexibility to find the best long-term fit
- Opportunity to transition into full-time roles within Consulting, RCM, EHR, or Technology teams
PROGRAM OUTCOME
Successful participants may be considered for permanent roles aligned to their strengths, interests, and business needs following completion of the rotation program.
