Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assembler I to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing assembly tasks with precision and efficiency. You will play a crucial part in ensuring the quality and safety of our products, adhering to established procedures, and collaborating with a diverse team to achieve common goals.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand procedures, safety sheets, instructions, and policies in English.
• Carry out verbal instructions and communicate effectively in English.
• Adhere to safety practices, including good housekeeping and ergonomics.
• Participate in cross-training and teamwork initiatives.
• Maintain stamina to perform repetitive tasks.
• Pay attention to detail to ensure quality and safety.
• Report and address any safety or quality issues.
• Learn and adapt to new processes, systems, and equipment.
• Collaborate effectively in a diverse team setting and resolve conflicts.

• Ability to meet work schedule and overtime requirements, including weekends.
• Proficiency in understanding and following written and verbal instructions in English.
• Commitment to safety and quality standards.
• Willingness to cross-train and improve skills.
• Physical ability to lift and carry weights ranging from 10-50 lbs frequently and up to 75 lbs occasionally.
• Capability to perform prolonged physical activities such as stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, sitting, standing, and crawling.

• Experience in assembly or a related field is preferred but not required.
• Strong motivation to grow and learn within the company.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Portage, Michigan.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.80 - $27.00/hr.
