Project Scheduler
Large utility is looking for a Project Scheduler in Jackson, MI. This role requires a high school diploma or higher and expertise in Primavera P6 and Excel to design, analyze, and maintain complex project schedules through critical path management and stakeholder coordination. education: Bachelors responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules and scheduling management systems.
- Define project tasks, sub-tasks, and scopes of work to meet contract requirements.
- Manage and update the Primavera P6 database, including activity codes, resources, and layouts.
- Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and contractors to coordinate assignments.
- Perform critical path analysis to identify constraints and the impact of schedule changes.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential delays, and recommend recovery strategies.
- Maintain change management processes and procedures.
- Generate periodic status reports and schedule variances for stakeholders and management.
- Facilitate project meetings to gather and communicate scheduling data.
- Apply schedule quality practices and project gating procedures where applicable.
- Must be able to interact and communicate effectively with project team members and stakeholders in order to receive and produce schedule information.
- Must be able to participate fully in all project and department meetings and discussions effectively.
- Must understand how to operate in a P6 environment including knowledge in layouts, activity codes, resources, group & sort and reporting.
- Must be proficent in Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge of Schedule Quality practices in regards to P6 schedules would be benefical but not required.
- Project Gating procedures knowledge would be benefical but not required.
- Prior work expereince in Gas Storage projects a plus.
- At least a High School Education is needed.
- But candidates with Associate's Degree's, Bachelor's degree's or Master's Degree's will be factored into the selection.
- PMP or other PMI certificaiton would be benefical but not required.
- PSP or CST or other AACEI certifcation would be beneficial but not required.
