Elwood Staffing is partnering with a top manufacturing company in Jackson to hire an experienced Shipping and Receiving associate. The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficiently managing inbound and outbound shipments and maintaining inventory.

Shipping & Receiving Details:

• Temp-to-Hire position
• $17.00 to $20.00 / hour
• Full Time work available
• First Shift ( Monday through Friday )

• Monday-Thursday 6:00am-4:30pm Friday 6:00am-2:30pm.
• Maintaining current inventory documentation which includes daily adjustments as production is pulled and shipped.
• Pulling controlled inventory from shelves and arranging it on pallets for daily shipments to customers.
• Pulling in process products from machines and washing parts using Automated washers so products can be packaged by boxing personnel.
• Using both platform and box scales to weigh packaged products to ensure customer receives the specified quantity.
• Preparing finished skids for shipment which includes affixing correct labels to the boxes and using stretch wrap machine to final wrap product.
• Use of a forklift to place the finished skids into the required shipping vessel.
• Washing parts and assisting with the Boxing/Inspection work area on a daily basis.
• Unloading trucks that arrive from outside operations using a forklift.
• Weighing the product using box or platform scale to verify the quantity received to the packing slip. Parts may also need hand counted.
• Documentation of the received quantities on the proper paperwork forms.

Shipping & Receiving Qualifications:

• Lift Truck Experience.
• Must be comfortable using computers.
• Experience using a box strapping machine.
• Experience using a Pallet Jack.
• Experience using hand and machine stretch wrapping equipment.
• HS Diploma/GED not required.

• Applicant may be subject to a background check
• Pre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment
