Overview

We are seeking talented and passionate Chef to join our Michaywe team! The ideal candidate has a strong background in the food service industry, proven leadership skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional experiences to all guests. As Executive Chef, you will be responsible for menu planning, execution of banquets and private events, inventory management, leading and training the team, and ensuring all health and safety standards are met and upheld.

Key Responsibilities

• Menu Development and Quality control: Create and innovate menus, establish quality standards for dishes, and oversee food preparation and plating to maintain consistency.
• Staff Management: Recruit, hire, train, and supervise all kitchen staff, from sous chefs to dishwashers, to ensure high performance and a smooth operation.
• Inventory and Cost Control: Manage kitchen inventory, order supplies from vendors, and control food costs to meet budget requirements and maintain profitability.
• Kitchen Operations: Oversee all daily kitchen operations, ensuring the kitchen runs efficiently, maintains cleanliness and hygiene standards, and complies with health codes.
• Leadership and Communication: Work with the entire Michaywe team and communicate with staff to ensure a unified understanding of menu items and service standards.
• Financial Management: Prepare and manage kitchen budgets, including food and labor costs.

• Leadership and Management: The ability to effectively lead and motivate a team, manage multiple tasks, and delegate responsibilities.
• Culinary Expertise: Advanced knowledge of culinary principles, extensive experience in menu planning, and a strong understanding of food preparation.
• Business Acumen: Skills in budgeting, cost control, and inventory management to support the financial success of the restaurant.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with staff and management.
• Food Safety Knowledge: A thorough understanding of food safety and sanitation standards and regulations
