Overview:
As a Specialist I in our Sample Management Lab, you will support the daily operations of sample processing and act as a subject matter expert on systems like Beaker/Labware, Insight/iPulse, and Sentry. You will handle job log-ins for North American labs and assist the manager in maintaining performance and workflow.

Key Responsibilities:

• Train staff at global Client labs on Sample Manager and Sentry systems.

• Mentor new and existing Sample Management employees, including basic and advanced system training.

• Review and quality check job log-ins, especially for new employees.

• Log in and manage lab jobs, including editing test codes and descriptions.

• Create test codes used in lab systems.

• Support and lead Lean process improvement initiatives.

• Help track performance, schedule work, respond to inquiries, and resolve issues.

• Perform other related duties as needed.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

• Technical computer training and database experience.

• Strong attention to detail.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access).

• Ability to work independently and complete assignments.

• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree in computer science, business, or a related field.

• Experience in lab or Client service environments.

• Familiarity with LIMS systems.

• Background in microbiology, chemistry, engineering, or environmental health.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit or stand for long periods.

• Light lifting (10–25 lbs).

Work Environment:

• Office-based, smoke-free environment.

• Travel up to 25% (domestic and international).
