Frontend Software Engineer

THE JOB

Join Signal Advisors to build and maintain cutting-edge web applications on our platform. You'll be instrumental in crafting an industry-leading user experience using technologies like React to rapidly deliver highly available software for our fast-growing financial services business. Our Independent Financial Advisor platform securely handles sensitive data and offers features such as real-time commission information, secure document uploads, and notifications. While experience in financial services is a plus, it's not required.

WHAT YOU’LL GET TO DO

• Collaborate with product managers, architects, and designers to deliver user-friendly and highly available platform features.
• Identify potential third-party integrations to streamline frontend development.
• Take ownership of the platform and drive continuous improvement of the user interface for a best-in-class experience.
• Design and develop React components within a single-page application architecture.
• Document components and design patterns for easy adoption by the team.
• Manage frontend infrastructure on cloud providers like AWS, Heroku, and GCP.
• Implement observability across frontend systems for efficient debugging and issue diagnosis.

WHAT YOU HAVE

• 3+ years of experience with frontend frameworks (preferably React), including component library creation and application architecture.
• Strong understanding of JSX, TypeScript, and asynchronous client-side software.
• Experience with unit and end-to-end testing frameworks.
• A user-centered approach to identify and address user pain points.
• Solid understanding of CSS, JSS, or other styling solutions.
• Experience with design tools (preferably Figma).
• Comfort working with NodeJS REST APIs.
• Experience with GCP and AWS managed services (e.g., Cloud Run, Cloud Datastore, Lambda/Cloud Functions, Firebase).
• Familiarity with Terraform for infrastructure provisioning.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

The US base salary for this full-time position is determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including interviews and a review of education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant, equity with other team members, and alignment with market data.
