Bridgeport Knee Mill Machinist — Manual/CNC Operations

A day in the life

Step onto the shop floor and kick off your shift by reviewing blueprints, sketches, and process sheets. You’ll set up and run a range of machines—Lathe, Bridgeport knee mill (Acer/Bridgeport), grinder, saws, boring mill, and drill press—selecting the right tooling and workholding to secure each part. Throughout production you’ll verify performance, dial in feeds and speeds, and make control adjustments to maintain quality. Precision is constant: you’ll measure with micrometers, calipers, and other instruments, document results as needed, and keep your area clean before shift end. You’ll also pitch in with additional tasks as assigned to support team goals.
