IT support specialist
Role Overview
We are seeking an IT Support Specialist Level 2 to ensure a smooth onboarding experience for new hires, handling setup, configurations, and early issue resolution. You will manage and support key platforms such as Google Workspace, Okta, Slack, Zoom, Jira, Confluence, Office 365, 1Password, Kandji (MDM), and Cloudflare.
This role requires flexibility to support a large tool stack (200+ applications) and thrive in a fast-paced environment. While primarily remote, you must be available onsite in Austin at least once per week . Candidates based in the Pacific Time Zone may also be considered.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the main IT contact for new hires, both remote and onsite.
- Configure and manage accounts across Google Workspace, Office 365, Okta, Slack, Jira, JSM, Confluence, and other tools.
- Troubleshoot onboarding and system issues, escalating complex cases as needed.
- Support and document processes for a wide range of IT tools.
- Conduct training sessions on IT policies, best practices, and core tool usage.
- Continuously improve onboarding processes through feedback and documentation updates.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (Bachelor’s preferred).
- 2+ years in IT support , with hands-on experience in onboarding or end-user support.
- Proficient in Google Workspace, Office 365, Okta, Slack, Zoom, Jira, Confluence, Kandji, and IAM/MDM tools.
- Required: Jira, JSM, and Confluence expertise.
- Knowledge of ITIL, cloud, or security frameworks/certifications is a plus.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and adapt in a high-growth, hybrid environment.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary: $75,500 – $98,000 (depending on experience, location, and skills)
