Facilities Manager | Rockford, MI

Salary Range: $87,000 - $133,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all facility maintenance operations, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and structural systems.
• Develop and implement robust preventative maintenance programs for manufacturing infrastructure and critical support equipment.
• Manage facilities budgets, controlling operating expenses and overseeing capital improvement projects.
• Ensure strict compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA) within the manufacturing plant.
• Source, negotiate, and manage contracts with external vendors, contractors, and service providers.
• Plan, execute, and oversee facility expansion, renovation, and space optimization projects to support production needs.
• Implement and monitor energy management and sustainability initiatives to optimize utility costs.

Recommended Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in facilities management within a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated expertise in managing complex building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and industrial equipment maintenance.
• Proven track record in project management, budget oversight, and vendor contract negotiation.
• Thorough knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA) relevant to manufacturing facilities.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with experience managing a diverse team of technicians and support staff.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience managing facilities in specialized manufacturing environments (e.g., cleanroom, heavy industrial, GMP).
• Proficiency in CMMS administration, configuration, and optimization.
• Lean Six Sigma certification or demonstrated experience applying continuous improvement methodologies.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent experience managing large-scale facility projects.
