The Distribution Receiving Trainer is responsible for training new receiving staff, ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs), and supporting the Distribution Coordinator in daily operations. This role plays a key part in maintaining the accuracy, efficiency, and safety of the receiving process, while also acting as a communication and quality checkpoint for discrepancies and damages.
Primary Responsibilities: Majority of duties performed but not meant to be all-inclusive or to prevent other duties from being assigned.
Training & SOP Compliance

Train new receiving team members on SOPs, safety protocols, and equipment usage.

Monitor and ensure SOP compliance across all receiving functions.
Receiving & Material Flow Support
-
Assist the Coordinator in verifying that materials are received in the correct order.
-
Ensure Material Handlers are putting Greenline materials away in the proper sequence.
-
Place "hot cones" on priority pallets to signal urgency.
-
Monitor the hot order pivot location and transfer items to regular storage weekly.
Spotting & Equipment Safety
-
Act as the spotter for extrusion unloading.
-
Act as the spotter for the 4D Hilo during extrusion put-away.
Deconsolidation Area Support
-
Assist in the deconsolidation area by ensuring team members are positioned correctly for optimal workflow.

Ensure the deconsolidation log is accurately completed for each container.
-
Confirm that receivers have the correct paperwork for deconsolidation loads.
Administrative & Communication Support
-
Assist in obtaining paperwork from buyers to ensure timely receipt of shipments.

Serve as the checkpoint for identifying and reporting any discrepancies or damages in received goods.
Job Specifications: Knowledge, skills, and abilities normally required for competent performance in the job.
Required Qualifications:
-
Strong understanding of warehouse receiving processes and SOPs.
-
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
-
Ability to train and mentor new employees effectively.
-
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation skills.
-
Comfortable using warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, order picking carts, sit-down and stand-up Hilo.
-
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
-
Basic computer skills for documentation and communication.
-
Minimum of 1+ years in distribution, logistics, or warehouse operations
-
Experience in standard operating procedures or work instruction process

Basic math skills

Familiarity with transportation workflows

Comprehension of order flow throughout warehouse operations

Standard shift operates Monday-Friday, 5:30 AM - 2:00 PM.

Occasional overtime may be required based on business needs.

Must be able to stand, twist, stoop, squat, and lift throughout the shift.

The anticipated pay range for this position is $23.95, hourly. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location.
At Brunswick, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the salary range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the specifics of the candidate's qualifications and the business context.
