Key Job Details – Michigan Nursing Jobs

• Location: Battle Creek, MI 49017 (Michigan healthcare jobs)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (September 22, 2025 – December 22, 2025)
• Setting: Medical Surgical (Med/Surg), Oncology Unit (C5); may float to other Med/Surg units
• Shift: Night shifts, 12 hours (19:00 – 07:30); options for 3x12s or 4x12s per week
• Hours per Week: 36-48, based on shift selection
• Weekend/Holiday: Every other weekend and holidays required
• Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics
• Staffing Ratio: 1:5-6 for nights (may flex to 1:8 with LPN support)
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1840-$1890

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Michigan
• BLS certification (AHA) – pending accepted with willingness to obtain
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg RN experience required; 2 years preferred
• Ability to float to other Med/Surg units as needed
• Available for the first 8 days of assignment for orientation
• Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions accepted with documentation)
• Professional references required

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in Med/Surg and Oncology settings
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team including RNs, LPNs, techs, and support services
• Float to other Medical Surgical units as needed per facility requirements
• Care for patients with ortho/neurovascular, cardio/pulmonary, GI, urology, hysterectomies, and mastectomies diagnoses
• Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation
• Participate in orientation and complete required training modules
• Provide compassionate nursing care while adhering to facility policies and procedures
