This is a 1st shift position with a schedule of 6:30am to 4:00pm Monday through Friday. Additional overtime may be required. Schedule may be slightly adjusted based on the needs of the candidate.

We are looking for a strong leader for our Shipping and Receiving Department. This will be a "working lead" role. There will be approximately 2-4 individuals reporting up to this role.

Hands on Responsibilities:

• Detail interior and exterior of products in preparation for shipping.
• Place labels/logos on product.
• Inspects finished products for conformance to prints, final finish quality, cleanliness, and presence of required accessory items to ensure that all orders are completed properly. (Quality)
• Design and build skids/crates.
• Package and band finished products and parts for shipment.
• Load finished products onto trucks for shipment to purchaser.
• Prepare shipping documents and ensure that the product details and shipping information have been verified
• Scheduling necessary rigging and freight for on time delivery of products.

Leadership Responsibilities:

• Leading and coaching the shipping and paint department team members in proper procedures and protocol for the department.
• Responsible for the continuous improvement of safety, efficiency, housekeeping and environmental practices.
• Staffing and efficient use of labor. Working with other departments to move and adjust staffing as needed.
• Responsible for the quality performance of all areas supervised.
• Monitors work performance of direct reports and conducts performance appraisals.
• Initiates personnel actions, such as promotions, transfers, discharges, or disciplinary measures.
• Works with other departments in planning schedules to ensure delivery dates are met.
• Working with other team members to create work instructions and standards for the department.
• Assist in the preparation of chamber manuals.

Qualifications:

• Must be detail oriented.
• Previous supervisory or lead experience required.
• Minimum three years of related experience in shipping and receiving.
• High school diploma or equivalent, some college preferred.
• Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office and other software to generate shipping paperwork, work instructions, log items received, create mailing labels, etc.
• Ability to use basic math and measuring skills.
• Experience using basic hand and power tools.
• Strong leadership skills
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
