Senior Business Intelligence Developer (REMOTE)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and implement reporting applications including, but not limited to, BI dashboards, reporting cubes and batch reports.
- Work with project lead, business users and analysts to gather requirements, conduct design sessions and prepare specifications.
- Translate project requirements into functional and technical specifications for BI reports, dashboards and analytical applications.
- Develop, implement and maintain test strategies and plans.
- Contribute to and support the organization's short and long term Business Intelligence strategy.
- Provides production support for Business Intelligence capabilities.
- Mentor and help train junior BI developers and power users.
- Works closely with the Systems Administrator to ensure operational efficiency.
- Works with end users on specific questions regarding appropriate use of the BI tools and data.
- Provides strong input into the release timeframe, available resources and fulfills obligations outlined in project plans or Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to deliver a defined release package.
- Helps to manage dependencies and find efficiencies to package project deliverables into viable business capabilities/releases.
- Coordinates with ITS and Data Warehouse Operations staff to provide requirements to ensure necessary infrastructure and desktop configurations to run end-user tools.
- Helps to determine feasibility of integrating end-user tools and upgrades with existing and future infrastructure along with DW Operations staff.
- Understands the strategic objectives of the Data Warehouse and Advanced Analytics team with respect to end user tools and follows the standard vendor selection/evaluation processes when evaluating and making recommendations along with the Solutions Architect.
- Actively reinforce the vision and direction of the Data Warehouse and Analytics departments.
- Initiate opportunities to learn and grow. Handle multiple demands, shifting priorities, crises and rapid change.
- Cultivate working relationships within the Data Warehouse and Advanced Analytics team and with the business units that are positive, professional and collaborative.

ENVIRONMENT OBIEE/Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC)/Data Visualizer, Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) 12c, Oracle 11g/12c, Oracle BI Applications (OBIA), Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), SQL Developer/Toad, Control-M, Jira, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Office.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with OBIEE 11g, Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC), Oracle Data Visualizer.
- Familiarity with Oracle Metadata Repository.
- Exposure to Oracle Data Integrator (ODI).
- Experience with Microsoft Access for curating datasets for reporting.
- Experience working with Microsoft Excel formulas.
- Experience with Microsoft Teams for video conferencing, chat, file sharing and other collaboration.
- Ability to read, write and tune SQL.
- Demonstrated knowledge of healthcare nomenclature.
- Familiar with Agile Methodology. Previous experience working in JIRA.
- Experience and familiarity with PeopleSoft.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare or information technology or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in information technology of which three (3) were spent working as a BI developer in a large data warehouse and business intelligence environment.
- Minimum of three (3) years experience working with BI technologies.
- Minimum of three (3) years experience writing and tuning advanced SQL
- Experience in creation and maintenance of Business Intelligence (BI) tool suites, including:
- Functional and technical knowledge of supported enterprise data delivery tools.
- Evaluating, implementing, and deploying self-service BI tools
- Report design and delivery
- Dashboards, metrics, analytics, and objects
- Rules Engines
- Testing and implementing tool upgrade
- Monitoring tool usage statistics
- SPSS statistics calculations and integration
- Demonstrated knowledge of healthcare nomenclature preferred
- Strong experience with different data modeling methodologies including STAR, Snowflake and 3NF.
- Will provide staff support for business and technical projects, assignments and analysis.
- Will work with director level and staff positions.
- Some instructional training and informational presentation experience.
- Experience working with at least one healthcare business discipline including (Operations, Finance, Clinical and Administration).
- Excellent organization, analytical, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- Will work in teams and with direct supervision.
- Must be comfortable operating in a collaborative, shared leadership environment.
