Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care to cardiovascular ICU patients, including post-operative cardiac surgery patients within the expected recovery window
- Monitor cardiac status, interpret EKGs, track vital signs and hemodynamics, and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
- Administer and document medications and therapies per physician orders; adjust care according to protocols and patient response
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals; participate in rounds and discharge planning; educate patients and families as appropriate
- Manage ventilator support and other hemodynamic devices as trained; ensure airway management and device care follow established protocols
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic health record; adhere to hospital and unit policies
- Adhere to attendance policies and schedule requirements; be prepared to float to similar units as needed

Requirements
- Active Michigan RN license; license verification via LARA and Nursys
- Minimum 1 year ICU/critical care experience (floating not accepted as substitution)
- EKG interpretation experience required
- ACLS and BLS certifications required
- Willingness to float to similar units as needed
- Ability to work a 3x12-hour night shift schedule and meet unit performance standards
