Cloud Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Cloud Engineer for a Contract with a client in Dearborn, MI. Candidate must have strong expertise in OpenShift‑based container deployments and cloud‑native middleware integration to be considered for the position.

Rate Range: $50/hour to $58/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Cloud Engineer job responsibilities include:

• Design and deploy OpenShift container environments to support scalable middleware services and integration workflows.

• Implement robust messaging solutions across GCP services such as Pub/Sub, Dataflow, and partner applications.

• Develop and secure REST and SOAP/XML APIs using OAuth and mTLS to ensure safe and efficient data exchange.

• Build and optimize message flows including ingestion, mapping, routing, and delivery between source and sink systems.

• Ensure solution quality through monitoring, logging, alerting, and end‑to‑end validation of integration pipelines.

• Configure CI/CD pipelines and IaC components to streamline deployment and infrastructure automation.

Required Qualifications:

• Must have a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field.

• Candidate must have 4 years in IT and 3 years in development experience.

• Having strong expertise in deploying container solutions within OpenShift clusters.

• Candidate must have hands‑on experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or similar tools.

Pay Details: $50.00 to $58.00 per hour
