General Maintenance

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated General Maintenance Technician to join our team in Hillman, MI. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of our facility's systems and equipment. Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various systems to ensure efficient operation.
• Conduct mechanical troubleshooting to identify and resolve equipment malfunctions.
• Utilize electrical expertise for electrical troubleshooting and repairs.
• Maintain and repair electrical systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
• Read and interpret tape measures for precise measurements in maintenance tasks.
• Conduct machine safety inspections to ensure a safe working environment.
• Operate MIG welders, manual grinders, and other power tools for repair and maintenance tasks.
• Utilize multimeters, calipers, and micrometers for accurate diagnostics and measurements.
• Safely operate forklifts and electric pallet jacks for material handling.
• Collaborate with team members to improve maintenance processes and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical and electrical systems troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and schematics.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and machine safety inspections.
• Proficient in the use of power tools and welding equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in a related field is a plus.
