Payroll Intern - Summer 2026

As a Payroll Intern, you will collaborate with our payroll team to ensure accuracy in all payroll records while supporting various special projects. You'll apply your detail-oriented mindset and communication skills to respond to team member inquiries, assist with payroll processing, and perform critical auditing functions. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in a professional environment while learning valuable payroll operations experience.

About the role

• Respond to emails and inquiries from team members regarding payroll, missed punches, timesheet inquiries and time off requests

• Assist with payroll processing including data entry, verification, and documentation

• Audit payroll records and import files to ensure accuracy and compliance

• Help address tax inquiries and support tax filing preparation activities

• Contribute to special projects related to payroll operations and process improvements

• Perform general administrative tasks to support the payroll department

• Learn payroll best practices and develop professional skills in a supportive environment

About you

Minimum Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a college or university program

• Basic understanding of Microsoft Office applications

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Effective written and verbal communication abilities

• Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive information

• Some exposure to payroll processes or experience working closely with payroll functions (e.g., handling timesheets, assisting with payroll-related tasks, or coursework related to payroll)

Preferred Qualifications

• Pursuing bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Finance/ Accounting or a related field of study

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

• Analytical and creative thinking capabilities

• Strong communication, customer service and organizational skills

• Self-driven, team-oriented individual with a service mindset
